UFAK APPOINT

KARATE-ZEN is pleased to announce that the continental karate federation UFAK has appointed Sensei Salaama Rhoda to the technical commission. Sensei Salaama is the first woman in the history of South Afrian Karate to hold such an important position in the karate world. Karate-Zen is extremely proud of this achievement.

Karate Super League success for Karate-Zen

Karate Super League Cheetah Challenge Tour Karate-Zen athletes performed out of this world when they entered into South Africa's karate super league championships in Bloemfontien, Free State. Karate South Africa appoints Karate-Zen member as Chairman of the Referees Commission

Karate South Africa appoints Llewellyn Rhoda Shihan as the Chairman of the Referees Commission. This is the second 3 year term that he will serve as the head of this commission. Rhoda is the youngest fully qualified World Karate Federation referee in the world and is the 1st South African to achieve this status.

Western Cape Provincial Team

Karate-Zen is proud to announce that 13 of our members made the provincial children's team that represented Western Cape at the Karate South Africa National All Styles Championships in Durban 3-4 March 2017.
